and continues to be a major gateway for companies interested in trading.

Turkey’s location at the intersection of Europe and Asia provides unparalleled global access.

In recent years, our country has made a positive mark on the world map in many ways. Turkish Airlines flies to more destinations than any other airline in the world. Our country boasts many international seaports and transportation and railway services connecting manufacturing hubs on all continents.

Turkey ranks as the world’s 20th largest economy and is the European Union’s 6th biggest trade partner, representing 3.6% of the EU’s total trade in goods with the world in 2020. The European Union is by far Turkey’s largest import and export partner, as well as its main source of investments. In 2020, 41.3% of the country’s exports went to the European Union.

Turkey – China’s gateway to Europe and beyond

Increasing Trade: In 2020, bilateral trade between Turkey and China has reached $23.6 billion, and between Turkey and Russia to $20,6 billion; marking China & Russia as Turkey’s largest trading partners with Germany.

Also trade volume between Turkey and Central Asian Countries in 2020 has summed up to $12,3 billion.

Because Turkish companies already have strong business relations with Central Asia, North Africa, the Middle East and Russia, we see that as a distinct advantage to strengthen our trade.
